I was organizing my laptop and found an interesting link I hadn't visited in a while.
Thought I'd share it with everyone. It's a little dated, it looks like it hasn't been updated for a while, but it gives some stunning views of Calgary and the outlying communities.

Believe it or not, I have passed through Calgary a number of times but have never had the time to stop and visit. It's nice to get a chance to see some highlights on-line. One place I have always wanted to take in is the Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller... how long a drive is it to Drumheller from downtown Calgary?
Thanks for posting the link. It would be great if we can get everyone to post links about their towns so we can all have a chance to see different parts of the country.

If you drive like one of those crazy Alberta drivers, you can get there a little faster ! ;)
Seriously though, my wife and I went to Ireland a couple years ago and we were amazed to find out how much history and knowledge the locals had about their home.
After that we decided to learn more about our own home. We now do most of traveling through Southern Alberta now.
This country has so much rich history and culture, you can travel in your own back yard.
You don't need to go around the world !
BTW If anyone has plans to go to Ireland, I highly recommend it ! Beautiful countryside, extremely friendly people ! A little expensive, but worth every dime !

I was a little country girl who grew up hearing stories about Calgary because my Grandmother lived there for years. She used to send me all sorts of Calgary stuff. I ate up the whole thing because I loved horses, and later cowboys...lol. I had to scoot over there a couple of years ago to help her after a fire in her apartment building.
Then my Step-Brothers also landed in Alberta, one in Calgary and one in Edmonton.
After I hit the road at 19, I got to see some of these places I read about. There's really no better education than travel. That was <ahem> a couple of years ago.... or so.
Thanks for sharing the link - I still get pumped when I see Calgary just from the leftover childhood excitement.
