D.I.Y. Reusable Filter for Marineland Biowheel 200 and 350
Items you will need for this project:
(1 or 2 Used) Marineland “Rite-Size C Type” Filter (Biowheel 200 and 350)
(1 or 2 New) Marineland “H.O.T. Magnum” foam filter Sleeves (must be H.O.T. type sleeves)
Very sharp knife (Olfa knife works best)
Old NewspapersHere is a photo of step 1 and the materials: A used C Type cartridge & an H.O.T. filter sleeve

Step 2.
Start at a corner of the old filter and entirely cut off the old blue wool material

Step 3.
Discard the charcoal and rinse the plastic frame to remove all bits left.

Step 4.
Carefully Slip on your new H.O.T filter sleeve over the plastic frame so as NOT to tear the foam sleeve. “Start from the narrow end first”.

Step 5.
Insert your new reusable filter in the slots. Wash every two weeks in aquarium water, simple to maintain.
