Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada (http://www.bgccan.com/index.asp)
As quoted from the BGCC website:
Our Mission: To provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.
Each of the 100 Boys and Girls Clubs across Canada are independent, grassroots organizations, operated by trained, professional staff and community volunteers, and governed by voluntary Boards of Directors.
Club programs look different from club to club, but all focus on four key areas of healthy child development, addressing the top concerns of Canadian parents today about their children’s well-being and development:
Physical & Emotional Health
Safety & Security
Success at Learning
Social Engagement & Responsibility
