Babies at the Zoo

Finding newborn fry in my tank is always exciting. I never tire of it. Newborn creatures of any kind (even non-fishy ones) are cute. Some are are critically endangered species born in zoos as part of conservation projects. Check out this these photos (http://www.zooborns.com/) of some recently born in zoos like the little Paku (world's smallest deer), and others.

I just love the pics of the baby elephant (it's absolutely amazing that the little one doesn't get stepped on, it's so very tiny).

thank you for posting that link - I very much share your sentiments. The Paku is so sweet - I never even heard of them. And the video of the lion cubs. It never ceases to amaze me-their life in the wild is so different from our domestic felines yet the behaviours are very much the same...
