These guys were announced as amecas splendens. Some have thicker tails, assuming they are the males (similar to limia triden shaped males) All fish have a black dot on the dorsal fin and faint bars. My guess is stuarti. Sorry not the best pic. They remind me of one I have had in the past.

I am not so sure Pam. These are some of my juvenile Amecas, almost big enough to breed in the picture, and I don't remember that black dot at all.

I'm thinking that's a Limia of some sort, but the fish will have to do some growing before you can make an educated guess. That is, unless there's someone on this list who really knows Limia....

Limia perugiae was my first thought, but the dots are on the males and females. When I had them only the females had the dot and they have no bars. So much for bringing in another blood line for my amecas. I am hoping it is something I have not had, so at least I can use them for a bap.

There's that Pam, making me get my exercise running up and downstairs to compare.....
By the pictures, to me, they look like juvenile Lima perugiae.
The real way to tell will be when they mature. If the dorsal goes black.

I notice that my females have the black dot in the dorsal, it's small, but it's there.
Both my male and female juvies have some barring, the females seem to lose it, the males keep a little.
