When heading to a club auction do you prepare a 'want' list of fish/items you hope will show up to be bid upon? Or do you go with a 'just wait and see' what surprises might appear? Do you take items to sell or only plan to purchase item? or do you go with plans of buying and selling? Do you stick to a budget? or are you willing to spend whatever it takes if there is something up for auction which you really want?

What are your auction strategies?

This is the wrong topic for me, the person who bid 2 dollars on the bag of "splendens" to find out they were Amecas not Bettas. My drink holders have held bettas along with a takeout drink holder. My luggage has been tagged "heavy" as I had too many fish in there. I have taken my cell on the golf course, in case I got outbid on Aquabid. I love auctions!!!

I usually get myself in trouble at club auctions. We had a big one this past Sunday. I did do pretty good I was proud of myself. I took 8 bags of angels which was 2 per bag and sold all 8 and made $120.00 and I only spent $42.00. Mostly on plants, but got a trio of Nanocara amonala that was a good deal. Wanted some P. nicholsi baria gold, but sold while I was out of the room. The auction lasted 8 hours so had to take a break.

I go with a budget but once I get there it goes out the window. I usually sell stuff, but also purchase some. This last one I bought a windelov fern attached to a clay breeding cave and some other stuff, but I ended up with a surprise there is now some kind of pleco in the tanks were the windelov is????

I would say about 1 1/2" he is very elusive. I have put the word out at two local forums to find the seller to id him/her.
