It's expected that we'll be in the black (sort of) for the fourth quarter, but the announcement is tomorrow.

Let's hope so Mel. I watch the US economy more closely, since I participate there, but the unemployment rate in Canada is quite encouraging compared to ours right now. We are also seeing an end, or very close to it, at this point in time. The unemployment rates are expected to reverse a few months after the economy starts to rebound because it takes time for new buying to work its way through to new jobs being filled.

I wouldn't put a lot of weight on it just yet. Apparently the second wave of foreclosures in the housing market in the US is going to hit soon, and that'll send us spiralling again. That being said Harper has done an excellent job so far despite the icky reds' criticism. I just don't think its 'over' until its over ya know? So we have an increase instead of a decrease....we could just as easily decrease again! Silly news people. Lol.

We should never have been in one to begin with, at least not to this extent. All economic forecasts had Canada in the top three countries that would survive virtually unscathed. That's why we were one of the last ones to go into a recession.
It should have been managed rather than used as an excuse for any and all failures. Now we're limping into recovery later than others. Superficial heros, the way I see it - we survived in spite them, not because of them. I don't support parties, I support individuals and this one has done nothing but make me gag since day one.
Let's not go into politics, that's never pretty  and I've yet to find one worth calling a political leader anyway. I think we're on the way up if they don't manage to ruin it somehow. My industry is recession resistent, if not recession proof, so at least I haven't felt the impact there.
This week - rum balls for Christmas baking and I don't know what else.... oh yeah, chocolate almond fudge. I made the maple walnut fudge on Sunday and I like to have at least two. (see topics to not discuss in forums thread for explanation  )
