I thought I posted this two seconds ago, but I don't see it  . I hate it when I do that.
I am looking for Platy's with the following color pattern, any finnage form. I had some a few years ago but haven't been able to find any since. If you happen to see them, now or later, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know.

Look at the bright side - at least you've identified one thing that a woman wants You're already ahead of half the guys here.

Yup, the coloration is somewhat common in Mollies.
Its not a hard thing to breed out, I just never get around to it. I've seen similar patterns on orange/red. Its a tux variant, for lack of a better description.
They were reasonably common in mixed Platy shipments for awhile.... :(

Here's some more pics, two different fish:

I was snapping away at Jay's fishies tonight and you can see how easily you could use his fish to breed out the pattern. He has some with larger blotching too.

Outcross to a white Platy and you'd have it.

I'm working on it. However, what it comes down to is lack of space to breed all the colors I want (and have a nice community show tank). If I lived elsewhere and had the space I'd probably take ideas from the 'master builders' in the DIY section and build a rack like madattiver. Not an option, so you'll just have to be patient for those Moo Cow Platys... hopefully someone will spot some for you soon.

They have a similar black pattern to what they call 'Painted' in Swordtails. I know this will come as a great shock to you, but I made up the 'Moo Cow Platy' name and its not official. I think it should be ;) . I've seen them called Coffee & Cream, but they're not brown... sheeeeesh! They should have consulted me.
