I don't know a whole lot about many of the Catfish available, so I thought this might be an interesting way to learn about the best ones. If you could have any Catfish out there, which one would it be and why?
We can just say everyone wants a Zebra Pleco....lol...but what else?

This is fun - I keep looking up all of the Cat's mentioned, including the Manx  . I can see why these fish intrigue people.
I have a confession to make - I hated most Catfish when I first started the hobby. The 'whiskers' would creep me out. Now I have slimey snails with 'feelers' and my Son loves Cat's so we got the Ghost Cats and I really have grown to like those. I'm more accustomed to the whiskers now and the only thing that keeps me from getting into them more is that they're not appropriate for my community tanks.
Of course, everybody loves Cory's so they don't count ;) .

Mustard spot plecos. Because they were my first true love in plecos and I find them cute and amusing to watch (when they actually come out)

My favourite cat is my Talking Cat:smile:
I have him close to 10 years and he is still alive. Many tank mates had lived and died, but he is still kicking around:notworthy:

Yes, it is a raphael striped cat. AKA Talking Cat, since they make sound when you take them out of water, hence the name ;)

So there was this kid, 6 years old, healthy, happy child, but he'd never spoken a word. His parents fretted & worried, the experts could find nothing wrong, still, the child never spoke.
One night the Mother tries a new recipe. At the dinner table the child suddenly spits his mouthful of food back out onto the table, spraying the entire spread, and yells "YUCK!!!! This is CRAP!!! You expect me to eat this garbage?!!!!" and on he goes.
The parents are thrilled!!! They're laughing and hugging the child, tears of joy running down their cheeks. Once everyone has calmed down they asked the child "Why haven't you spoken before now?"
To which he replied "Well, up until now, everything has been fine."
So, Mr. BC_Kron, my professional opinion is that your Cat's don't talk because they have nothing in particular to complain about.
I hope we have all learned something valuable here. Like never waste your time reading Melody's rambles  .
