That's my Green Terror, she's a big pussycat and shares her house with fish less than half her size lol (Loaches, Striped Barbs, CAE's and a Pleco).

She's beautiful. One wonders who decided on Green Terror as a common name, being that she's such a big Pussycat....lol. I wonder if most are, or if it's just her personality. Individual fish often exhibit atypical behaviors. How long have you had her?

Well I think for the most part they are a little overrated but I have seen some pretty tenacious versions of the same fish so I think it all depends on the individual. If she were a male I may not have been able to mix all those species with a GT but it would appear that the females like with many critters seem to be a little more relaxed on the aggression side of things. I also keep her well fed so she probably doesn't feel the need to munch on her tank mates :). I've had her for close to a year now I guess, she was only an inch long when I got her and is roughly about 5.5" now and still growing. Her diet consists of Cichlid Pellets, Colour Enhancing Koi Pellets, Mysis and Brineshrimp. Occasionally when she's in the mood she'll munch on peas and zucchini, when she was little she loved Melody's Bottom Bites so sometimes she still gets confused and sucks up an algae wafer only to spit it back out again when she realizes it's only a wafer LOL.

LOL Note 2 self: Send that poor fishy some Bottom Bites - gotta keep the fans happy! I'll have to get her to taste-test the new version with seaweed if I ever track the fresh stuff down.

Very nice pic's - I'll wait patiently for more.

R they here yet?

LOL ya pretty much everyone loves that stuff, we've been out for a while now so I've switched over to algae wafers.

Hey Mel, did you recognize one of your fishies in those pics?

Yes but the name I used to call him isn't permitted in this forum  . He's grown!

LOL, I love him :D He's so packed full of personality and follows the big guy around everywhere hehe. Yes he's definitely grown! and filled out too, he's a piggy and I don't have to call him names because he behaves himself nowadays

Good to hear - its all in the environment, can't blame them. They just get stuck in community tanks too often and they don't belong there.

Well I think it depends on what the community consists of :) In this case they are living with equally if not more feisty tank mates and it really does seem to make a difference. The only fish that are considered "community" because of non-aggression are the Striped Barbs but they have nothing to worry about because they are faster and more agile than anything in that tank, if they weren't they would have already been on someones menu :).

I was going to add the Amecas to that tank but I think it's pretty much at capacity so they will instead get the 30gal to share with the 4 Loaches. My initial plan was to move the Barbs back into the 30 and put the Amecas into the 80 but the Barbs are doing so well that I don't see a reason to remove them and if I add the Amecas to the tank, the Barbs might then become a target so I think I've got the ideal set up at this point. If I could get away with having a tank twice that size then I'd probably attempt it lol.
