Not anymore you don't - every one of those little buggers will need at least a gallon to themselves. Most say more, but I say a gallon is fine for Bridgesii. Cana's are a whole different story.
I like the Jades - its one of my fave colors. In fact, I'm out of them so bring them over here...lol.

lol im keeping them in a 10 gallon for now but gonna move some to my 33 and 55 soon, i took the ones already in my 55 out becuz they would always hide in there shells :( it happen after the last water change and i cant figure out the problem.. but there fine in the 10:err:.
maybe you know whats going on in the 55 ?
what are the dominate colors? like if white body breeds with a dark would it be random or would it be dark or white?? and same for shells, ive never breed apple snails before. :wideeyed:

If they're staying in their shells something is picking on them. They'll stress and starve eventually if they're kept in a tank where they're aggressively picked on.
There's a color chart here (http://www.angelfire.com/va/myevolution/snails/colorcombos.htm).

It should be good until you have to do daily waterchanges in a 10G - they won't last long in there I'm afraid - the shells will suffer almost immediately. Messy creatures. I'm sure you'll be able to find homes for them if it proves to be too much though, they're nice snailbies.

yeah i know, im not gonna keep them in there for long, just a quick QT, i have already moved some to one of my 33 and there doing fine. with in the next week they will all be in good sized tanks.. i wish i had a 100g though.. so i could raise a snail army :laugh: and if they get to outta hand, witch i doubt, i know someone who will be glad to take em ;) lol

Yeah some people are getting overrun with them and those colors are more common so they don't move as quickly.

I should have thought of a newcomer, since they were fine before. Well at least you know now. That's great - it would be a shame to get freebies and then not be able to keep them.:(
