April is Earth Month! Earth week is April 16th-22nd, Earth Day is April 22nd.

I know fishkeepers are especially in tune with nature and I hope to see this thread continue throughout the month. Share your thoughts, ideas, news items, articles.... let's really make it an educational month! A special focus on water and aquatic creatures is great, but it all impacts in one way or another so everything goes.

To get you thinking in that direction, here's a few links:

Nothing in particular planned but if anyone is interested in Earth Day Events, check out the Earth Day Canada site (http://www.earthday.ca/pub/) and just click on the map to find events in your area.

Disney's new movie "Oceans" opened yesterday, and during this first week, portions of tickets sales will go towards saving coral reefs.

It looks awesome.-

Looks like a movie well worth seeing.

I first saw a preview for it a couple of months ago when renting "Earth".

One thing about that movie...

When describing the sighting of one of the papa's, I was half expecting James Earl Jones to say...

Loooook it's his faaaather. :spinny:

I posted this on Facebook and forgot to do it here. Tropical Fish Hobbyist Magazine (http://www.tfhmagazine.com/earthday2010/) is doing their Earth Day offer again this year. $1 for a one year electronic subscription until the 25th for new subscribers.

Went to see Ocean's last night, and while I found the narration somewhat lacking in information and dry, the cinematography was pretty spectacular.
Glad I saw it on the big screen.
