Picta is in Canada somewhere, dunno where exactly. Portholes I don't think are here - most of the less colorful Livebearers aren't. Could be wrong though.
Window shopping on Aquabid? ;) Good luck in your search!

a friend of mine works at a fish wearhouse where they bring fish in from other countries and quarantine them then sell them.
She said she saw these in a couple months ago, so i told her to give me a heads up if they come in or if you want me to order them, let me know.

Are you able to order a few of each or is there a minimum order. A few of each would be great, 150 or 300 is way more than I can handle.
Even if I do find them from a different source, I would grab a few anyway, just for the sake of good genetics.
Thanks for the heads up!

a few of each
If you can order a few, go for it ! Only question is getting them out here ?
Are you game to try shipping or will the people you order from ship them ?
If ordering a few is ok, about 6 of each would be perfect (male/female mix).
Nothing like a game of 20 questions.

i would probably do the shipping...i'm not sure when they would come in but i shall do my best. If we're lucky, i can get a hold of her tomorrow, get them ordered the next day and go from there. I'm getting some fish from her too.
They get all sorts of wild and rare livebearers too so if there's anything else let me know. I don't know the original source though.

My list of wants when comes to wild or exotic livebearers is to long for me to type and to long for you to read !
However ......
Limia Vittata and Alfaro huberi AKA Rocket fish are high on the list.
If you get the opportunity to find out about these fish, PM me the details and we'll get things going.
Thanks fishykisses !

I thought you lost yours? Geeeeze, I'm behind the times....lol. Mr. Soggybottom has them too.
Blaine, I think huberi are in Ontario, or they were anyway.

If you could see how many times I have to look up the names to verify what I'm talking about, you wouldn't feel dumb... or you'd think I'm dumb too....lol.
Hopefully Mr. SB will get his breeding and I've got access to more in the US. I do like that little Limia.

I will need some tridens in the future as well, mine are also growing right now.
fishykisses, like I said, see what you can do.
Melody, do you know where in Ontario to look for huberi ?

No, I just narrowed it down for you....lol. They've been circulating down there for a few years now anyway. I'll see if I can track them down.

The vittatans are plump and there is some hanky panky going on, but no wee-uns as yet...

I'm just glad to hear that they're healthy - the rest can wait. All of them were pretty young when we got them, so maybe maturity will help. Thanks for the update!
