So I found one fish in my tank with these little red worms sticking out of it's anus and I read up on it a bit sounds like they are hard to get rid of. I've already put that fish down it wasn't moving very much and looked like it was time for it to go, and so far, I don't see any other fishies with worms. But any one have some experience with getting rid of these worms? and if one fish has it does it mean they all do?

Last I heard, Mr. Mykiss has the stuff that will get rid of them.
I know some can have them without them being visible - I'd treat the entire tank if you decide to treat. Do you know which fish gave birth to the fry? She's the one I'd watch most.

Yeah the one that gave birth i've had for over 8 months and currently shows no signs of the worms, the fish itself was about 4 months old. I will ask Pat. Thanks Mel.

I didn't know it was that old - probably no link then. I certainly hope its an isolated case, but I guess you have to treat everyone anyway :( . Don't forget to bleach your nets & all that too. Good luck!

update! I got the meds last week from Pat and now my fishies are all fine again. Hopefully it was just an isolated case. I was feeding some scallops and shrimps too so perhaps they got it from that stuff. Who knows. Hope everyone else is safe!
