I think it would make a great addition to this forum, since aquariums and vivariums are so closely related well actually aquariums are a vivarium  but you get what im saying, and often kept by aquarist, like me for example. i have a Paludarium and Terrarium. and love Amphibians and want to get a snake ;).
for more info on vivariums look at wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrarium it tells you all the different types/names
are there any other members on here that are into this hobby, and think this would be cool?

The variety with water would fit in, the variety without water would be pretty much the same as adding a Puppy section ;) . But that's just my opinion.

ill name all the things i can think of that are similar lol
1. there both in glass aquariums
2. the water variety are often kept with aquarium fish, like my toads and loaches
3. there both come from aquariums stores
4. similar live food are enjoyed.
5. the owner shares the same love for animals as aquarist hehe
6. Very much the same planting wether aquatic or semiaquatic or non aquatic.
7. It is nothing like "puppies" why? cuz you dont feed your dog live food, you dont build them habbitats to relect where there naturaly found etc etc.
8. there pretty much the same hobby just with different animals ;) and habbitats lol
9. :chatterbox:

We're an aquarium forum, not a pet forum. If it has water, it fits, so I could go with that. I'm not the only one here though, so we're listening and appreciate the suggestion. Anyone else?

It's a tough one alright. I agree with Melody for the most part, I'd like to see water in the picture. As much as I like lizards and such I dont think recreating the badlands is a fit for here. :nah:
I do think that ampibious lizards/toads/watersnakes? ect. could fit because a lot would be the same or at least along the same lines. Lighting/ aquatic or semi aquatic plants, temp regulators....the tools of the trade fit.
Maybe you dont need to "fill" the aquarium but you need more than a dog bowl for water.

I'd love to see a forum dedicated to amphibians. How many of us have had newts, FBtoads, and red sliders at one point. If we had a place to talk about them, maybe less of them would die, like mine did :( Hence I have not attempted since. But I would love to see more on that, b/c i do love newts and toads! Even mudskippers would count right?
