If you're planning a pond, you might want to consider using native plants to your area. If you're in BC, here's a site that lists wholesalers and retailers specializing in plants native to BC: http://www.npsbc.org/Use/use.htm. Not all necessarily carry pond or wetland plants, so it's best to contact them first to see if they do.
