My Fluval 4 plus is making me crazy. The Green button saying the flow is plugged is right up. I changed the filter material..nope nothing...I stripped the head and cleaned it best I could. Took Propeller out and cleaned in there.
I put it back and still the green thing is up saying flow is low?????
Any ideas????? The thing is clean! I even moved the spout so that it's not pointed to the bottom of the tank????

could the indicator be stuck?

I may be mistaken but when I had my Fluval 2 Plus filters, the little green indicator being in the up position meant that the flow rate was good.

hmm I wonder if your right???? cause it's not stuck I can push it down and right away it springs up?

Yup, the flow of water pushes it up. When the flow drops off (because the sponge gets full of gunk) the indicator drops down and exposes a red mark on the side of the filter.

Poohbah is right. The green indicates good flow. As the flow drops, the pressure under the plunger drops and the red painted background is exposed. The red is a plugged 4+.
