Any non-native species is of concern but it would be cool to see them. Hopefully, they are correct that as the temps drop once winter comes, they won't do well in the lake.

Lots of Jack and perch in Manitoba. It would be interesting to see how this upsets the eco-system of that lake. Where the Jack and perch might have a feast on these guys (assuming they like them) I wonder what was eating the stuff that these jelly fish will be eating and if they are going to be starved out. Also fry might be a main target of these guys? maybe not such a bloom of jack and perch.

I tend to think we are lucky because of our cold winters ....
but you be surprised at how many species can adapt !
I have a feeling these will survive ,and are going to cause many problems .

Don't forget out catfish!
They said it came in on ornamental plants????
I love watching Jelly fish on TV they are grogeous creatures but I can see our fish going "AHHHHHHH!":chatterbox:
I been trying to remember the movie where the guy has a cylinder tank with Jelly fish in it. It was totally cool.

Sounds like a good movie... must rent it some time. I wonder where the cylinder tank with the jellyfish they used in the film is located.
