I know the media likes to hype these things up, but she really does seem to be missing her murdered trainer.

I've read stories before on dolphins going into serious depression at the loss of a baby or mate before but not a trainer.

Not really that far a stretch to think it would have the same ability to feel depression at the loss of a trainer who it loved and saw day in and day out its whole life.

The whole thing is very sad.:(

Maybe it would be better if they always used two trainers now.

Fugu seems to have a dark sense. Perhaps sensitivity training is in order?

So, gentlemen, anyone have a comment on the story at hand? Hmmm? ;)

I think that is a sad, horrific and touching story. Sad b/c the dolphin is on the brink of death, horrific b/c of the crime, and touching because of the relationship between man and animal.

It's quite shocking to hear that the dolphin and trainer was so close, yet the neighbor was from a totally different planet. He sounds completely nuts, he prob should have gotten help. This didnt' have to happen

That was a very insightful comment, Ms. Mixixe. It is ironic, now that you mention it, that the real animal in the story was in fact a human.
