Cute little fish. It's hardest to get pictures of little ones... glad you finally got a good one to post.

Seems taking pictures of fish is almost an art, trying to get those little beauties to stay still for the moment is like . . . almost impossible. Mine never stay still or in one spot long enough so my hat definately goes off to you for snapping those little guys.

Fast shutter speeds help to avoid the blur.

Very nice shot. I had to slow down on taking pictures, my battery charger melted:err:. I can't wait to see them when they colour up!

my battery charger melted:err:.
Ooooh, not good! Actually, I've never heard of that happening before. Knowing that can happen, maybe it's best not to leave batteries charging when I go out.:wideeyed:
As for the tridens, Ms. Fishykisses, don't forget to update us with pics as they grow.

I didn't know they could do that either. Kinda unnerving. Especially since my kid has one plugged into his room most of the time. Maybe I best make them a kitchen thing so I can make sure they get unplugged.

To clarify, the reason my battery charger melted was because the spring that is attached to one of the posts on the charger snapped and was touching a wire. When I put the batteries on the charger it started to hum really loudly. I walked away, but was hesitant because of the noise. I came back a few minutes later, smelled something burning and looked at the charger. Sure enough it was really hot and the plastic was melting.
Had I listened to my instincts I probably could have fixed the charger before it melted. I really don't think they would melt or have a problem without some forewarning. I was a little too rough popping the batteries in and out of the charger, so human error is really what caused it.
Back OT. I hope you have some platy babies when you get home. Babies are soooo much fun!

Thanks for the clarification - the kid thought I was nuts and apparently he's right. This is not a big revelation, however. :twitcy:
Babies are great fun indeed, at least until there's a zillion juvies and you wonder what you were thinking. Never seems to teach a person anything though, or it hasn't taught me anyways.
I do second guess myself during water changes though, which I really should get at. Its a 2-Day affair here usually.
