Okay, so we're at about 2 1/2 weeks. It's soooo hard to see what's in the gravid spots because these girls are soooo dark red. I can only see when they get right under the the light strip and turn a certain way. But... this is what I think I can see. It looks like a cluster of dark orange eggs in the G. spots which weren't there before. Can I start getting excited yet??? Does that sound about right for 2 1/2 weeks? I'm holding my breath here..... It's been so long, I can barely remember ... all I remember from before is seeing little eyes peeking out at me in the advanced stages.

You're obsessing. Here's the thing - either they're going to have babies in a couple of weeks or they're not. You're going to drive yourself nuts....lol. I can't see anything in there from the pic's you sent, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything there, its just hard to tell from a photo.

You've gone from thinking they weren't getting bigger at all, to thinking they were about 2 weeks along to thinking they are 2.5 weeks along, all in 2 days flat. ;) Sit back, enjoy them.

OK U, I know you're fretting so when I spotted this lady looking to be around the same gestation as yours may be, I snapped a pic. You can see her small, dark gravid spot directly behind her stomach. I'd guess that she's somewhere around 1.5 - 2 weeks along.

Thanks for the photo Mel.
I'm afraid I don't think it'll do any good for me this time. I just got home after being away picking up Shawn all day and took a look at everyone. My formerly "healthy" female lyretail is now covered in the white fungus. I give up. Something tells me there may not be any fry after this even if she is preg and if they make it though, I doubt they'll be healthy after the massive doses of multiple meds. The albino wasn't worth all of this. I'm so afraid I'm going to lose both of my Lyretails. This was supposed to be a happy day. Like I said, if it were any other fish I wouldn't care so much, but these two are my only two and kind of special since my fry. They're really hard to replace on the island... I'm so ready to just give up. 3 tanks and 2 now are in quarentine including my planted tank:( Sorry to be such a downer.. just am sooooo disappointed.
