I've just had a terrible experience on a different forum, and it's made me realize how awesome you all are here! The rules are simple and easy to understand and follow. People are nice and easy to get along with, and care about each other. I just felt I needed to tell you all "THANX! YOU'RE THE GREATEST! "

What happened on the other forum? Or would you prefer not to discuss it (which is ok)?
I have found this to be a very welcoming and friendly forum. Some wonderful people here!

Silvak you run into quite a few forums that have political issues and on chat sites on the internet.
I think that the major reason why most of us are here that we are mostly canadians and with that most of us are willing to help out others. Whether it be beginning aquarists or those with a lot of experience.
I too think that this forum is one of the best forums on the net for friendly people

I am an Admin on my clubs forum. Our forum is one of the two successful club forums in Ontario. We try and keep all of our Moderators KWAS members and we also are very picky on language and content. We are complimented many times on our friendly, family environment and when we get new members coming over from the GTA and PN forums, they learn very quickly that BS has a zero tolerance level.
I really enjoy coming here for two reasons.
1) It is very similar to my home club forum with some extra rope given here
2) I am simply a member at large with no responsibilities! That is refreshing!

In a very good way. I know what it takes to run a successful forum. Your team does a great job!

Now I'm going to have to visit KWAS because you obviously have very good taste. It's tough to run a successful local forum because quite often people don't want to police their own, so the whole town can quickly go to the dogs. Bias can ruin a forum very quickly.
I love a good online community - I've learned a lot in forums and have met some seriously fantastic people, from beginner to guru. I've met a lot of jerks too, but they're just more fun to play with before I have them for lunch.
See? That was downright scary! Oh come on.... just a little?

Absolutely! There is a specific section for KWAS members that announces club specific things (like newsletter downloads being available, etc) but we have members from almost every club in Ontario and further.
Check it out
www.kwas.ca/forum (http://www.kwas.ca/forum)
In fact, if you pm me your email address, I'll send you a free copy of our newsletter from December 2010

 But the best part of a good online community, is the members always make me smile. You guys are safe, they only let me munch on bad members...LOL.
Pyro, we're allowed a text link in our sig if you'd like to add the site to yours. Promoting clubs is always a pleasure.

BUT seriously, good for you! It can be a constant struggle, that's for sure.
