A large tank (thankfully not mine) burst dumping about 1250 gallons on water on the floor at the Iowa Pet Foods and Aquatics Store. The actual tank rupture was caught on tape: http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/content.php?sid=3435. It's amazing how fast the place flooded. I'm just glad I didn't have to deal with that cleaup job!

Jay, when I first saw the thread I thought that it had been your tank. After reading your first post I am greatly relieved.

They even helped customers too!

Sorry, didn't mean to scare all of you... but it does put things in perspective and make one check tanks every so often for any signs of impending disaster.

NOT what I needed to see as i set up the new tank shelves- I'm already convinced they're going to collapse as it is lol!

If your unsure, put a few more bolts in to be on the safe side, gr 5 bolts will do fine, thats what i use on my shelving, 2 per corner

I very timidly peak around the corner now, when I come home, just to establish visual proof of continued success.

I'm sure you did a good job of the tank rack and that all's well. I think wet feet might be your first clue if anything went wrong.
